Senior Adult Programs
The Parks & Recreation Department provides a wide range of activities which appeal to all ages. For information concerning programs, fees charged and registration, check the calendar, navigate these pages or call 595-0842. You may also download the Registration Form.
Pre-registration is required. Unless otherwise noted, registration will be taken Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the City of Prattville Parks and Recreation Department, or you may call the office and request a registration form to be mailed. Come aboard the American Splendor and travel the Lower Mississippi River with American Cruise Lines beginning September 5, 2023. This 8-day, 7-night cruise along a portion of the Mississippi will be an experience to remember. Enjoy customized excursions including antebellum home tours and Civil War sites. On- board experts bring the history and culture of the Lower Mississippi to life with award-winning enrichment programs. Ports-of-call include Memphis, Vicksburg, Natchez, St. Francisville, Baton Rouge, Oak Alley, and New Orleans. The ship, American Splendor, is a classic paddlewheeler. Senior Adult Water Aerobics (Co-Ed) FREE
Starts: Monday, June 7th | When: Mon., Wed., & Fri, | Time: 8:30-9:30am
Ages:50 & up (Co-Ed)
No pre-registration required. Must fill out confidential medical information form at first class.
This is a great way to have fun while you get an awesome low impact workout and meet new friends while staying cool in the process!
Senior Adult Meals
When: Mon-Fri (Seniors age 60+), 11:15 a.m. | Where: Gillespie Senior Center
Center closed on City-observed holidays.
Lunch is offered Monday - Friday for seniors age 60 and up. Please call ( 595-0841) in advance to sign up for lunch.
The cost of the meal is $1.50 donation. ( All donations are accepted and appreciated to help pay for the meals provided by the Central Alabama Aging Consortium)
